Public/private partnership focused on building Arizona's statewide capacity to care for and support all service members, veterans and their families. Provides training and technical assistance to military, government, and community organizations in support of their efforts to serve military members, veterans, and their families. The ACMF Gap Fund offers financial assistance for servicemembers, veterans, and family members who do not qualify for existing financial assistance programs to meet critical needs.

Programs that help nonprofit organizations and other groups conceptualize, implement and/or refine a plan for making any of a variety of human services available to the residents of the community. Included are organizations that provide assistance for groups that want to replicate an existing program, e.g., establish a new chapter of a support group, as well as those that specialize in generic program planning and development. Assistance may deal with defining general programmatic elements such as types of services, service modalities, target populations, eligibility criteria, application procedures, fees, language capabilities, accessibility for people with disabilities and funding; or may focus on a specific component such as intake, screening, diagnostic and assessment services, casework or other service provision, case management, record keeping and/or follow-up to ensure that the individual's needs have been met.

Service Planning and Delivery Assistance

Divisions of businesses or nonprofit agencies that are responsible for developing products or delivering designated services to the public. Departments of NGOs are generally led by a manager, supervisor, director or vice president.

Nongovernmental Agency Departments

Programs that help nonprofit organizations, small businesses and other groups develop and/or participate in a temporary alliance of distinct parties who have come together for joint action or to work together for a common goal. Member organizations retain their own autonomy and make varying contributions to the alliance based on their resources and expertise. Coalitions are particularly effective when they are action oriented involving activities such as public policy advocacy, government lobbying, legislative initiatives or media campaigns.

Provides technical and financial assistance to probation and resource officers, teachers, administrators, private attorneys, judges, legal service attorneys, and advocates in an effort to ensure all Arizonans have knowledge and access to the justice systems.

Organizations that are actively seeking licensed attorneys who are qualified in a particular area of law (e.g., family law, bankruptcy law, consumer law, landlord/tenant law, intellectual property law) to provide pro bono legal services to low income clients or nonprofit organizations referred for this purpose. Volunteer attorneys may be asked to provide legal information, advocacy or referrals; prepare wills, guardianship/conservatorship papers, advance medical directives and durable powers of attorney; or represent clients in court.

Pro Bono Legal Aid Volunteer Opportunities

Programs that facilitate planning sessions for key staff in nonprofit organizations, small businesses or other groups which focus on needed organizational change based on agency trends and analysis of internal and external data. Traditionally, steps in the strategic planning process include development or reaffirmation of the organization's vision, mission and core values; identification of key stakeholders; an environmental assessment which identifies internal and external strengths, weaknesses, threats and opportunities; identification and prioritization of major issues and/or goals; identification of specific approaches or strategies that must be implemented to reach each goal; development of action plans required to implement each strategy; development of a written strategic plan which incorporates statements related to the above; development and authorization of a budget; and regular evaluation activities which enable staff to assess whether strategic goals are being met and to update the plan, as required. The purpose of strategic planning is to change the way an organization operates so that it is able to more effectively and efficiently meet its mission.

Subject Specific Public Awareness/Education

Educational institutions that are actively seeking individuals with knowledge and experience in specialized areas who are willing, on a voluntary basis without remuneration, to teach a special class or seminar in that subject (which may be academic or vocational) in situations where the school is unable to bring in a regular teacher for the job.
