East Valley Institute of Technology District #401 | East Valley Institute of Technology District #401

Administers technical and vocational education programs in the East Valley. Provides technical and vocational education for students in grades 10-12 and for young adults earning their GED. Classes are held in various locations. Students provide various low-cost services to the general public. Includes facials and skin care, massages, marketing and print material design, and vehicle service and maintenance except transmissions. Also rents classrooms, computer labs, and auditorium for events and meetings. Provides support services for students with disabilities.

Bicycles for working individuals, car repair assistance, GED testing scholarships and trade school scholarships may be available to those who qualify and are subject to funding availability. Includes Family, Friend & Neighbor (FFN) and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Pima County Community Assistance Division | Pima County Community Assistance Division

Provides case management and emergency financial assistance to people on low income throughout Pima County. Assistance is limited and based on grant funding. Includes utility assistance to prevent shutoff and propane gas used for heating and limited mortgage assistance to prevent eviction or foreclosure. Offers car repair assistance for families with children (age 17 and younger) who are working. Does not exceed $300 for any repair; not available to people who are unemployed or childless. Provides assistance directly to applicants, and to agencies in the Emergency Services Network.

ADEQ Voluntary Vehicle Repair Program | ADEQ Voluntary Vehicle Repair Program

Assists with required repairs for qualified vehicles that have failed an emissions inspection. Vehicle must have been registered in Arizona for the last 12 months and has not been unregistered for more than 60 days, been manufactured 12 or more years ago, and failed emissions test less than 60 days prior to the vehicle registration expiring. Must not be a motor home, motorcycle, salvage vehicle, or a fleet vehicle.
